Worth knowing: For electrical, gas or major plumbing work you’ll need a qualified tradesperson — I’ll always be straight with you about that.

The little things that stop a home feeling right — a door that won’t shut, a handle that’s come loose. Send a photo and I’ll tell you if it’s a quick fix.

Old solid wood furniture doesn’t always need replacing. Send a few photos of the piece and I’ll let you know whether it can be sanded, repaired and refinished.
